The Virginia Vintage Comics Show begins its second decade when comics dealers and collectors convene at the Salem Civic Center, Salem, Virginia on Saturday, August 16, 2008. That makes it the currently longest running vintage comics show in the country.
In the first decade, the show has drawn dealers and collectors from 14 states, from as far as Florida, New York, Illinois, and Minnesota. Vintage comic books are primarily featured, but there can also be pulps, paperbacks, sports paper, old newspapers, toys and original art.
The show is held in the Community Room of the Salem Civic Center, located on 1000 Blvd., Salem (one mile from Interstate 81, via Exit 141). Show hours are 10:00 until 5:00. Admission is $2.00 for adults, children under 12 free.
Dealer tables (8-foot) are $50. The show has a capacity of 45 tables, and in recent years the show has sold out of dealer spaces early in the year.
