Iron Shadow, my hero (July 14, 2010)

Finally settled in to watch complete episodes of Warehouse 13, the Syfy series. I had caught snippets off and on in the first season but didn't watch a full episode until last night. I like the anachronistic, steam-punk look and story lines (H.G. Wells is a female! An artifact treatment machine looks like an old Westinghouse wringer-washer!)

The "Mild-Mannered" episode was comic book centric, as Pete and Myka investigate a Detroit report of an urban vigilante, superpowered by an artifact. Pete recognized the vigilante as IRON SHADOW, "the greatest hero of the Silver Age." Since Pete was born around, say 1975, he missed the Silver Age, and may have become a fan through his father's collection. Anyway, he apparently has the complete run, except for the elusive IRON SHADOW #46, which is apparently rare and expensive, the Hulk #181 or X-Men #94 of the run. In the end, Myka finds a copy of #46 for him. Liked this episode; maybe someone could actually do an Iron Shadow (or Warehouse 13) series...
